some days hard than others
Recently, aside from having a wonderful daughter and looking at her and feeling such emmaculate love, its hard to find things to be happy and joyful about. Some days are good and some days, not so much.

Hmmm
So this past week we lost our cat. And he then chose to come home 4 days later. Wow we're we sad, very happy to have him home. Other than that, everyone is healthy and happy. Lizzie last day of second grade was June 6. She is excited for summer fun. Planned and registered for summer camp at a historic farm she goes to sometimes, that's later this month. Need to line up some other fun activities as well for her little buzzing 8 year old brain.
Ready for less thinking and more relaxing.

Memorial day weekend 2012
Memorial day weekend - for the most part, weather sucked! brrr howdy. Friday weather started to come and temperature started to drop. Mid day saturday it was raining and mid 50's - brrr.
My fantastic hubby got me a new motor for my Lockerbie Pottery Kickwheel. I havent used the lockerbie that much because to center larger pieces of clay you have to keep the speed up manually (your foot/legs). Now that I have the motor assist, I use the motor to help me center it and kick the rest when I am shaping etc. Oh yea, I throw pottery - been doing it about a year now. So got this new thingy - want to use it right? too cold outside to throw (400 lb wheel or so...) so we let the ramp down on our toy hauler trailer - and wheeled it up into it, shut the door and turned on the heater, he he he! was great, so while the weather was yucky I was able to throw clay for a bit. Will try and take some pics.
Sunday the weather improved and we enjoyed a portion of the Hill AFB Air Show at my parents home. Thunderbirds were impressive. The most enjoyment was having lizzie run back and forth on the porch spotting planes and yelling "...that was AWEEESOME!!!" emphasis on the awesome of course... with her fingers in here ears when it got too loud. Enjoyed a nice visit and good food.
Mondays weather was fabulous, mid 70's - ran some errand and took a long drive in the 86 Wagoneer, doggies in back - to utah lake to let the pups jump in. Sun felt really good. Grilled steaks for dinner. Was an enjoyable extended weekend. Good nights sleep for monday night, prep for the week of work.
Life is Good.

Vroom
Out and About
Our family likes to go atving and be outside and 'Do" stuff. Recently my awesome husband gave a lil tinkering love to lizzies atv - and she is off and motoring around camp. She likes short rides on her atv I think because her arms and hands get tired, they she cruises with mom or dad on another machine. We do this as much as possible through out the year. This trip was the beginning of May I believe, weather was fantastic during the day (mid 70's) and evenings got a little cool.
Getting started
Thought I would give this a whirl. I enjoy reading others blogs, so perhaps I will get and give enjoyment through mine.
May 2012 - life seems to fly by so quickly, really want to bottle up and save all the little things, to save the smells, the laughter, the clouds in the sky, the warmth of the sun. Having a child is so fantastic in so may ways, of course there arent pretty times... but mostly it is so fulfilling and unimaginably heart warming.
I make silly comments to my youngest daughter that I need to stop feeding her so she stays small and cuddly, she promptly and adamantly replies that 'you cant do that mom...!' her use of vocabulary makes me laugh often. I will do my best in the future blogs to 'bottle up some of those moments' lil' time capsules maybe?
